Enterprise Operating Model Realignment Transformation Design
Problem/Challenge
$4Bn Oil & Gas Services Company required a redesign and realignment of its Enterprise Operating Model due to declining market conditions across Canada and US operations including its defining its Core Processes, Governance, Operating Principles, Organizatoinal Design (SLT level to Management levels), Executive Dashboard, Roles/Responsibilities, and IT Architecture.
Engagement
Assist in “rightsizing” the Enterprise Operating Model for; 1) G&A cost reduction; and 2) Improving the Company’s ability to compete in its markets, measured by market share in the major service offerings. Leveraged our Operating Model Transformation Framework to realign and redesign its business critical operating models components (8), while achieving cost reductions in its Core Process, redesigning organizational and leadership roles, governance, etc. Our work was focused on using well defined Business Outcomes including Operating Margin, business cycle time reduction, simplification of management team governance, single executive dashboard and optimization of the Back Office processes.
Results
Achieved the following impact to the client and its private equity investment ownership:
• Reorganized SLT structure, roles and leadership players
• Reduced G&A spend by $X/X% within 9 months via simplification, waste elimination, organizational restructuring
• Streamlined Core Businesses across Canada leveraging “best fit” practices, lean management, etc.
• Maximized the sale price of the Company to a competitor on behalf of the private equity ownership
