Challenges Faced

We had the opportunity to provide Executive Coaching and Mentoring on behalf of the Head of Data and Analytics for a $3 bn MFG organization.  In addition, this Executive coaching candidate represented the head of Program Management Office for the IT Organization. Our Executive coaching candidate requested the opportunity to have an Executive Coach to support her professional objectives as part of her leadership development process in the current organization.  She also wanted to position herself in the marketplace for promotion to a Head of Digital or Chief Information Officer in other organizations of larger scale.

Engagement Approach

Our Executive Coaching approach was tailored to the Executive and his organization’s culture.  Our approach reflects a “strengths-based” philosophy and independent assessment (360 Review) process.  Our approach was inclusive of mentoring the candidate in both scheduled coaching sessions and impromptu or “just in time” mentoring efforts on an as needed basis.

Results

The results of our work with this candidate were two-fold.  First, our collaborative efforts moved the candidate into the No. 1 succession plan for the Chief Information Office role.  Secondly, an outside organization of over $8bn in scale (2.5x scale of current organization) recruited our Executive candidate as the Leader of Digital and Advanced Analytics.  The candidate elected to leave the current organization to join the C-Suite in the new Company.
