Challenges Faced
Opportunity to provide Executive Coaching to the leader of Information Technology Operations, Infrastructure and Cyber Security on behalf of a $2.9bn MFG organization. Our client requested Executive coaching as part of his recent promotion to the V P level and take over the Information Operations and Infrastructure responsibilities. This was inclusive of assisting in the redesign of the new Leader’s Operating Model and transformation of the newly formed organization. This also included Executive coaching support relative to his personal Leadership and professional development objectives as a newly promoted VP.
Engagement Approach
Our Executive Coaching approach was tailored to the Executive and his organization’s culture. Our approach reflects a “strengths-based” philosophy and independent assessment (360 Review) process. Our approach was inclusive of mentoring the candidate in both scheduled coaching sessions and impromptu or “just in time” mentoring efforts on an as needed basis.
Results
The results of our work elevated this candidate’s role in the Information Technology organization to the point that he is now being asked to take on new Corporate-wide initiatives in managing major acquisitions from the inception of the deal making process to finalizing the DAY 1 efforts. We also created an Operating Model that has provided additional promotions and advanced capabilities under the Executive Coaching candidate. As a result of our work on the next level of Leadership has grown and become part of our Leadership development process.
